Review of Amampondo
An interesting and listenable combination of jazz with traditional vocal styling and instrumentation. I especially like their use of the marimba - very enjoyable.

Amapondo
One of the best African contemporary artists I have heard. Their earlier work focuses on the more traditional but their more recent work is a mixture of the traditional with the modern. An excellent combination! Highly recommended!

Amampondo: Electric Pondoland
Wow! Wow! Wow! Now this is African traditional music at its VERY VERY BEST!!! The blend between the traditional and the modern (western) club/dance beats is EXCELLENT!! It is BOTH traditional Africa AND western. All I can say is produce MORE!!
